Audatex provides vehicle OEM times for removal, refit and replacement as per workshop manuals in an enhanced format that means easier understanding and logical sequencing, alongside the manufacturers’ original operation number.
Vehicle manufacturers directly supply our international Data Development Centres with their methods and times. In some cases (Jaguar, Land Rover and Rover), Thatcham panel times are used. In others, the OEM has used other independent data (e.g. Jikken, AZT, Samsung Fire & Marine, KART) to research the time and method on their behalf.
Where manufacturers don’t publish times for specific removal refit or replacement, Audatex may provide additional times where necessary. These times will be calculated using methodical comparisons with data from equal or similar models, and / or by reference to existing times. Where times are supplied by Audatex, the calculated report will have a designated KN number.
For new model introductions, we take every effort to gather and process the most comprehensive manufacturer data available before release. In some cases, we may elect to release a model with some KN numbers in the absence of published times rather than delay delivery of the model to market. When model information is available from the OEM, the model will be updated in the earliest monthly data release.
